During the worst time of my life (redundancy, divorce, depression) I was introduced to meditation. After about two weeks of meditating, I got a sentence in my head that wouldn't go away ... till I wrote it down. Then another phrase turned up and then another till, after a few weeks, I realised I'd written about 20,000 words of a story. I finally read that evolving story and it was about a chap called George Sanderson but it was my story! I was told all writers need to, first, write their own story and someone did it for me - giving me the words and moving my pen over the paper. Simples!
